Thyme for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner
Good food does not need to be complicated! Our menu is growing all the time; but our focus will always remain on wholesome, hearty and delicious food locally sourced and freshly prepared in our cosy kitchen.
We currently offer a brunch, lunch and afternoon tea menu. Brunch includes traditional favourites such as the Thyme Full Monty (how can we call ourselves an English restaurant if we don’t do a hearty breakfast?), Eggs Benedict and Royale; as well as rarebits and sandwiches.
Lunch is all about pies, sausages and Trigs….. proper pies with tops and bottoms, sausages made for us by local suppliers and Trigs – well seeing is believing! Served on a wicker trig, choose from locally smoked fish. mixed cheeses with a cottage loaf, pickles and a mountain of salad. Great to share!
We’ve just introduced the Thyme Beefy Beefburger – homemade burgers with onion relish and a whole lot more!
Our afternoon tea menu is to die for. Home made cakes, freshly baked scones cooked to order – and over 49 teas including white, green and black loose leaf teas to delight the palate and the senses.
The Thyme Ice Cream Parlour…. home made ice creams including Peanut Butter, Bread & Butter Pudding (yes, we’ve made an ice cream from one of our famous pudds!), Caramel Latte and a host of old traditional favourites to savour. Look forward to the sunny days when we can bring these iced delights back to life!

How did it get to be Mothers Day again? We will be open all day on Mothering Sunday (that’s 11th March for the uninitiated) for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Bookings now being taken
